Here's my lovely new toy :) apparently they don't normally put the body kit on the cupra so that caused all sorts of fun at the dealership (and the car took 4 months to arrive) but hey its here now and I'm loving it.

I have always wondered what an R would look like with this kit on and I must admit I love. Not a massive fan of the centre exhaust exhit so you have done well in my opinion mate. No shots of the front?

Loving the white wheels. But i think the dual centre exhaust is what made the new Cupra R stand out and you should have stuck to it but still nice car

Yeah personal preference I guess :) to be honest I thought there was so little difference between the Cupra R and the standard Leon that I got the body kit just to make it look a bit different and bit more sporty.

Mayyyyybe :) Did I pull up next to you down peaks parkway at the weekend (going by your profile pic) ?

Lol thought it was you because of your white wheels. Yeah that was me in front of you..great looking car the wheels set it off well with the colour :) jealous that you got a cupra R :(...I have to settle with the little cupra for the time being lol

Its funny cos I pulled up behind you in the same place the day before but in my old car (yellow 2010 Ibiza FR) and thought its a shame I've not got the new car yet so I could give you a bit of a race :D but then when I saw you again the day after n I had the new car I didn't dare thrash it at all cos it had only done about 30 miles at that point lol I really like the look of yours though, looks a lot nicer than the FR I had.

Haha so that was you in the fr as well!! What are the chances lol....I wouldn't even dare try and race you in your new car lol...maybe if I had mine mapped! Lol..maybe soon ;)
I'm sure the engines are bedded in at the factory?..the engine in mine was anyways. A quick burst wouldn't hurt lol

I think I saw you like a few months back in your yellow fr at the same place but you was behind a couple of cars back lol...I guess that's our meeting spot lol

haha yeah must be, I go down there at least twice a day (work in Hull) so probably would see me down there quite often :) I'm hoping to get mine mapped next week too - have you looked into it much yet? I'm struggling to find anyone that will insure me with a remapped car... insurance on a Cupra R is bad enough as it is (as I'm only 24). Adrian Flux seem to be recommended a lot for performance cars and remapped cars but they couldn't even give me a quote without the remap let alone with it. They said the fact that I do about 20,000 miles a year makes it hard for them to get decent quotes.

I wont be getting mine mapped just yet :(..oil consumption so need to sort that out first.
Im undecided whether to go with Revo or APR as I've been reading on here. People have had problems with Revo and APR but its more down to customer service really. Who you decided to go with?

Im with Admiral, and I can get insured with them but I need to get into it abit more because some people say that they have problems getting insured with them, but when I ticked the option of having a chipped engine mod on mine, everything was ok and it didnt really put that much onto my premium and I'm 24 myself, but 25 next month so see what happens. Which insurance company you with?
Im only with Admiral because I was able to get a low price with them on the Ibiza Cupra but I've just renewed my policy with them not long back so will have to shop around when it comes nearer the time.
I havent tried Adrian Flux yet but once I hit 25 then I'm pretty much sure I can get insurance with anyone...hopefully lol

I was looking at BlueFin (which is a handheld device provided by SuperChips) just because you can put the map on and take it off yourself whenever you want. They reckon a 39 bhp increase so I'm keen to try it out :)

Thanks just had a look at Admiral, they quoted me £2000 with the re-map, which is the best I've had so far with the re-map lol but £1600 without the re-map is about £400 more than Direct Line are doing it for (as that's who I'm with at the moment).

lol yeah I'm hoping it gets better when we hit 25. I know with the 7 day free insurance I got with the car from Seat, they said they couldn't actually give me a quote for a full year cos I was under 25.

this is the first R i have seen with the kit on, personally prefer the centre dual exits on the non kitted one but overall its lovely mate,R's have the best interior ive ever seen in a seat aswell

With the bluefin, do you want to use that so you can do warranty work if needed? Or you just personally want to try the bluefin? Because having it mapped properly is better according to other people.
1200 ain't bad for a cupra R...still expensive though lol. How did you get your fr for when you traded it in for the cupra R if you don't mind me asking?

I got £8K for the FR from the Seat dealership, which was 2010 reg and had 50K on the clock.

As for the BlueFin, I just like the idea of being able to do it all myself and turn it on and off myself whenever I want without having to take a trip miles away to a REVO/APR dealer

Ahh right I see...I think a few Leon owners have bluefin and they say its pretty good. Thought you would've got a bit more for the fr. I would love a cupra R :(..prob wait and see what the mk3 Leon cupra R looks like and what it has in it
