For now, I want to share some of my thoughts about my new car after the 5,000 km I've already driven since June.
Pros:
The battery! I'm able to drive 45-50 km daily, using only around 40% of the battery. That's fantastic – I'm very happy with it.
The power of the electric motor within city limits is just amazing. I simply don't need the ICE at all!
The ride quality, even with 19" wheels and 35-profile tires.
The combined fuel consumption when traveling – just amazing!
The way the car drives and handles on twisty roads. Even though it's a heavy car, the battery placement under the back seats helps, to a certain point of course.
If you don't pay attention in wet conditions, you get an understeering effect, but since most of the time this comes from the instant torque of the electric motor, the electronics
help instantly.
Cons:
The 19" wheels are very beautiful, but you can damage them easily on every curb, every time you try to park. They're wider than the tire!
The lack of some features like blind spot detection, even in the VZ version with 272 HP. Meanwhile, there are other features that are useless in my country – I have heated seats and a heated steering wheel for no reason here in Greece!
The mobile app! It's just terrible! Very, very disappointed!
The fabric quality of the seats. This Alcantara/leather combination (supposedly super eco-friendly – yeah right!) looks great, but you get uncomfortable very easily and quickly, which is pretty bad!
The infotainment system is better than the old one, but it's far from being intuitive. The A/C controls might be illuminated and stay active at the bottom of the screen at all times, but there's no button for fan levels – the main control I use constantly! The shortcuts on the right and left of the screen never stay as the ones I want; they always revert to factory defaults (air recycling and AUTO!). And many more issues!
I'm still very happy with my choice and would buy it again if I had to, but I hope that in the near future some of these cons could be improved!
