Brembo Caliper rebuild difficulty?

When doing my discs and pads last weekend, besides my corrosion under shim issue, I discovered that the lower piston on the inside of the passenger caliper has seized. As a result I can feel a, thankfully only slight but annoying none the less, pull to the left. I've seen the seal kits on ebay but can't find a guide to tearing the caliper down. Is it a difficult job or does anyone have a guide or done their own rebuild? Many thanks as always.

You don't normally have to completely strip down the caliper to get the Pistons out. I removed the pistons on my 4 pots on my old 200sx put putting an airline Dowm the brake fluid port and the pistons just Pop out. Then you can replace the Pistons and seals.

Can anyone confirm if this is relevant to my calipers because if that's true mate happy days! Not saying your info isn't solid dude, just sounds too easy to be true!

That's ok mate best to make sure. That's how I removed the Pistons on other 4 pot calipers. I can't see it being much different as splitting the caliper in half won't get you to the back of the Pistons at all. I just put a block of wood between the Pistons so they didn't come flying out too fast.

Just been doing my disks and pads, the exact same piston is seized on mine! Been looking for a brembo seals kit but having no luck! What do you think of the aftermarket (ebay) ones? And also how did you get on removing the piston? I haven't attempted it yet. Gona wait a few weeks till I'm on holiday and won't need the car for a few days

airline down the brake pipe union normally does the trick just dont put your hand in the ways incase it goes all of a sudden. i normally put a certain size block of wood in the way to stop it flying out too quick. also if its being stubern then you maybe have to spray a load of wd40round it anf push it in with big grip pliers then workin back out with the airline untill it frees off

Haven't attempted it yet, coincidently the wheel bearing on that side needs doing too so I'm waiting for some £ to buy that and I'll have a do at the same time. Was also waiting for some clarity on the bleed Nipple theory so cheers for the info 747 and gsevern ;)

Rebuild the caliper isn't that dificulty, did mine a few days ago.
Now that you have the calipers out of the car, I advice to change all the parts that are in bad condition ;)

if you are going to paint them, use some kind of primary.
don't use paint directly on the caliper, even if the spray says to do so.
I had to repaint mines a second time cause the paint where not in so good condition and after touching with the caliper in a few parts, the paint began fall down.
After repainting it with primary, all went ok and the quality of the paint is much better too :)
