Brembo calipers - heat-resistant paint?

Want to refurb my LCR's brake calipers.

Anyone know if the calipers' original paint-spec is heat-resistant? (I assume not, which might explain their current hue - a rather uncool shade of pale pink. )

I've looked in the 'Refurbing Your Brembos: For Dummies' guide & it only refers to clear-lacquer.

Has the red paint come off ?? If not you should only need to laquire them.
I'v always used Hammerite on brake caliper's and never had any problems

Regular paint in my case worked. there is a Foliatec kit that resisit at high temps..but i don't think it worths

They're not showing bare metal, just a universal shade of pale, faded, matt pink. (Maybe all I need to do is ask Trevor - he currently has car in for alloys' refurb & body mop - to re-lacquer 'em?)

halfords do some hammerite heat res paint in a spray can. £8 a can. i just got some yellow for mine.

trust me mate, if there faded just re-laquer them and save some time, i did mine a couple of weeks ago a few fresh coats of laquer made them look miles better

i would have thought laquer will just put a shine to whats there , as its clear, so shiny pink !!

halfords now stock their own caliper paint among other stuff like exhaust paint etc ,

could try simoniz sperex spray paint
looking at this myself along with their lacquer to finish - just need the dosh and time of which i have neither for both
