Hi All,

I see that a lot of u Cupra R drivers have got a set a Red Brembo Callipers on your cars, im liking the way the red stands out from behind the alloy. I have got the 20vt Cupra and want to get a set of the callipers but not having much luck getting hold of some. Could someone please advise where i can get some for a good price and will they fit ok?

Thanks Guys and Girls

Check on ebay, there are some auctions for Brembo calipers or Porsche calipers.

I got a set of two porsche calipers from a 911 2000, just make sure your brake discs are at least 312 mm and you have 17" wheels, anyways you´ll need to install a pair of wheel spacers in order the calipers to fit.

Cheers!

Brembo's are standard on the Cupra R. Best bet is to just paint your calipers red, has the same affect. No point getting Brembos' unless you need them.

True.

If you only want the "red caliper" look nice behind your wheel you can get a Foliatec Caliper paint.

If you do not have any performance mods, maybe getting a pair of Brembo calipers will not justify the cost. Check the balance: engine power vs. braking power.

I decided to upgrade my brakes, ´cause my car is near the 230 bhps and I got the opprtunity to buy the porsche calipers from a good friend of mine.

Cheers.

ther car has new ecu chip and been remapped with hks powerflow induction, so i think it running about 215/220bhp, installing decat pipe at the weekend so was thinking about uprating the braking system just to be safe, but if dont think its needed will go for the cheaper option. how much are the Porsche callipers

I got the Porsche calipers for 350 usd /pair.

My friend bought those calipers at ebay for that price, but he decided to sell it ´cause he owns a Ibiza Cupra and got a good deal on AP Racing calipers, specifically for his car.

ive got a set of 18" team dynamic alloys, same as on the evolution rally cars, so im guessing they would fit ok. its just little finishing touches to make it stand out a bit. I dont think you need to many visible mods as the car standard looks so smart, but i do feel that tops it off, definatley makes it stand out from the other Leons

As far as I know: if you install the wheels spacers on 17"s you are fine.

The LCR in Europe comes with the Brembo brakes and 18"s wheels as an option I believe.

For us (Mexico) the LCR came with 17"s wheels and standard braking system (Same as TT and Leon sport)

Dunno, i dont live in europe (kind of).
I was remembering this http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=26307&perpage=20&pagenumber=2 post 23.

Nice pic of a subtley modified golf, diagram and list of wheels require here

If its for performance just upgrade the discs and pads, and while your at it paint the calipers red.

Also if it takes your fancy how about buying those Seat Sport/Brembo Stickers from Flea Bay and sticking those on the caliper as well??

you can get a kit from badger 5, calipers discs lines ect if you want the brembos.

i put them on as a performance mod and the braking has improved... worth the money. but like others have said if its looks paint the ones you have
