Well they have had failures in the WTCC, fuel pump affected Muller's car last year, and i think it's happened since on another.

Monteiro's car blew up spectacularly easlier this year, and one or two have had misfires. Technical gremlins, the diesel is still very much new to this team and they don't have the 100% backup from Spain people think they do.

One of those things sadly, just typical bad luck it happened on what may of been their best weekend of the year no doubt to score big points.

They do get backup to a certain extent, but they are very much their own team. Spain has enough on it's plate, its running it's own WTCC campaign while also supplying customer teams.

The lack of winter testing has again hurt the UK team, but they didn't get the cars from Spain until very late in the day, and SEAT Sport's own testing program and early start to the WTCC all added up to very little testing for the UK team.

Sadly that's motor racing for you, people also forget the VX team are a very seasoned outfit who have been at the sharp end of touring cars for many many years.

As manufacturers go SEAT is very much David to Vauxhall's Goliath the fact they demonstrate time and again they can beat the Griffin they do suffer terrible luck sometimes of their own making.

SEAT might drop the ball, but I wouldn't support anyone else :D

Looking forward to Oulton Park all the same.

Sums up my feelings too.

I could not believe it when DT's Leon misfired...and then Jases' car misfired too. The same problem to both cars. Just sums up the luck SEAT have had.

Did anyone else think that whilst Darren was talking to ITV4 under the safety car he wasnt paying full attention to where he was putting his rubber, hence getting a puncture. !
