I too pay cash plus part ex Peter. I agree, not everyone does pcp. I'm going for an ex demo cupra leon on Sunday. It was reduced quite a lot from new and I've got another £2500 off so if I don't get on with it, I can just move it on. I'm hoping to love it. I rejected the first one collected on Friday 13th. Nothing to do with the infotainment system though. More shoddy dealer not preparing the car properly
Glad to hear that you are enjoying yours

Elsea I always buy pre reg or ex demo as I am too impatient to wait for a factory order and I like the saving too.
I can't see how it's a bad time to buy if you already have one. I recently sold a merc cla45 for more than I bought it for a few weeks before and the one I'm buying has been reduced from the price on autotrader. They are not all selling at their inflated asking prices. I got a very good price when I sold my cla45 but the dealer who bought it is being greedy so it's still for sale.
Nice. What sort of warranty are you getting? The only j think hate about ex demo and nearly new is that you don't get full 3 or 5 year mfg warranty as the car is classified as used so only comes with 12 months dealer warranty. With a ton of issues on new formentor cars, getting stuck with dealer warranty is complete no no for me

Folks at Jag told me, car is registered to them so only 12 months. So maybe differs mfg to mfg

The one I'm getting isn't a year old yet, it's November 2020 so will have over 2 years warranty with it. Manufacturer warranties transfer to the new owner :)
I don't like being out of warranty on cars either

I've had 3 jaguars, 1 new, one used and 1 pre reg with 17 miles on. The manufacturer warranty came with those as well. I love jaguars but I have a narrow drive now and the last one I bought (an xe) was tight getting down my drive and into my garage so had to go.
I would only expect the warranty to be 12 months if it was out of it's original manufacturer warranty
