Haha, it did indeed! Completely forgot to reply. Now safely on Version 9.

Took 3hrs 30mins though!

Ace... at least it lets you turn the engine on / off inbetween though. When I installed mine I was getting the sub fitted next day so had to sit in the car till midnight to let it finish :D

Yeah I didn't want to risk turning it off and on and bricking the system so I just left it ticking over on my drive and blocked it in with my van!

Had a reorganise of my cleaning cupboard:

Added some new products:

And applied them to the car:

After much @rsing around with threaded bolts, finally managed to swap my aging rev D for a shiny new rev G:

Unfortunately, there wasn't as much info as I'd have liked... so I didn't figure to undo the bracket holding it until much frustration later. Next time, I'll be starting with that:

Hmm, I'd like to say it feels like it pulls stronger... but really I think its a placebo. Oh well, PCV next... and considering some red coil packs. Both of which will also make no difference me thinks.

:censored: Had to mount the kerb to let an ambulance past... unfortunately the kerb looked like Dantes Peak and my wheel now looks like this:

I accept that some things are unavoidable... stone chips... kerbing alloys... so I'd say on the feked off scale I'm about 6.5/10. Which I think is pretty good considering.

Potential excuse for a wheel colour change lol

:D Well, I've booked a place to do a repair. If they do a good job, then if I can ever make my mind up on a colour, I'll get the same place to refurb all 4. Trouble is, I like black... but it doesn't really stand out against the blue. I'd like white, but heard they are a nightmare to keep clean. So maybe gun metal grey or anthracite... not sure I'm brave enough for gold, but have considered it!

Didn't break any clips... good start:

Frick me... you must have strength of the bear to pull these by hand!

Getting them back in was easier:

Swapped original Rev N PCV for Rev R:

With new gasket:

After PCV n Coil packs, MPG has finally gone up!! :funk: 28.1mpg, my best yet. I'm hoping to get >30 on a long motorway run.

Also, this arrived, I know how to show a girl a good time!

Bad news is, number plate bulb blew.

Couldn't be bothered faffing around trying to get LEDs that worked so:

Really simple to change, just 2 screws and a trim tool.

Nuts... wrong bulbs:

Swapped em out:

Then on a roll tried to pry the clear plastic out of this and cracked it :censored: Note for future, aim for the metal tab!!

So far two mobile wheel repairers couldn't be :censored: to turn up (thanks WheelPerfection and FixAScratch!). So just left me waiting in all day. Decided to take it somewhere and get it done. Going to repair for now and consider a refurb when I can make my mind up on a colour.

In the meantime, LED boot:

Topped up the oil before a 500 mile round trip. Needed 350ml topping up after 2000 miles. Also made 33mpg down the motorway. :D

Then got to the country roads and drove it like I stole it:

Then spent 3 hours with Black Hole and Natty Blue:

@Legojon - Lovely Speed Blue MK2 LCR.

@Legojon & chriskeegan - Just a quick question regarding the NAV update, was the unit on the original map from factory and you jumped straight to V9? I have never given my unit an update since I brought the car from new!

In addition, does it still keep the SEAT Dealership's as the point of interests or does that get removed with the software used?

Cheers :D Yeah, it was whatever version came out of the factory. I've done the same with my FR+ and jumped from factory to version 7 I think. Both went smoothly.

Um, I didn't know it showed Seat dealers as points of interest lol. It still shows car parks and petrol stations though, although I only noticed it did that about 3 weeks ago :D
