Hi guys, yesterday I fitted my kenwood ddx4021bt head unit, but to get the video working I have to connect it to the parking sensor. Is there a way of bypassing this so I can play videos at any time?

Cheers

do you mean parking brake? you need to connect the green wire from your hu to ground. but be warned its illegal to have video playing whilst driving in view of the driver.

Ah ok I didn't know that, is it a difficult job to connect it to the parking brake?

Thanks for the help

did you get a connects 2 can bus block adaptor? its the one so you can use your steering wheel control? if so, there is a green wire coming out of the canbus block that works with your handbrake.

if you click on the picture, you can see 3 loose wires, the pink is for vss, green is for park brake, and the purple is reverse gear, if you want a reverse camera, saves running a trigger wire from your reverse lights. with this connector, you stay legal as the video is only displayed when the handbrake is on. otherwise, if you want it displayed all the time, then just connect the green wire to an earth, like the black wire coming out from your hu.
