I'm having my Fr 18's powder coated gloss black on Thursday next week. At the moment my wheels are stock silver (see sig pic) and I have painted the hubs and calipers black. Thing is with black wheels too I'm wondering if I need to repaint the calipers in a different colour but I'm a little unsure about going "wish it was" red.

Will black wheels with red calipers look like I'm trying too hard. They are 312mm stock FR brakes.

I'm thinking silver, your thoughts?

I went for painting the carriers silver & the calipers red, it looks great but I have the r32 front & rears

I'd go for red calipers on a red car with black wheels. This is standard on my K1 and looks good.

I think if you went for black calipers you would hide the 'visual' appeal. I think if you have claipers the same colour as the car it compliments better

Here is a small picture of mine in the early days with 'ditch finder' tyres on but should give you an idea. I need to still do the hubs on mine in red or black

Have painted mine in red next thing to do is have the wheel done in black, will be getting some prices later today or tomorrow

I quite like gold as it's different and has a brembo look about it (like on the 350z's) if not silver would look great... I like calipers to stand out from general paint scheme of a car but still go... dilver may be a conservative yet different choice

looking at brightening up my faded red calipers and rusty hubs on my car on saturday. want to do the hubs black and the calipers red again. what paint do people suggest using ?? i dont want to get red paint then turn out to be burnt orange looking.

Any help is much appreciated.
