cams on a 8v gti

hi ive a seat ibiza gti 8v love it just want bit more power,thinking of getting some cams for it before i do just wanted to know if it will make a good difference or is it worth just buying the 16v version thanks

get it dyno'd before you get cams as you dont know how much power you've got at the minute. some 8v's make 130hp as standard.

You only want one cam not two. Cammed and P&P'd head on an 8v no quicker than a standard 16v ABF.

most people on here will say "buy a 16v"

but for £150 a 268 camshaft will make your 8v alot more fun to drive

thanks for the replies. if it just gets up to the abf kind of accleration i would be happy. want to get dyno'd mine does feel faster than the 115bhp stated but still want a bit more lol
