1.2 3 cylinder hunts very bad, unplug egr valve and ticksover and runs fine until fair few miles then it doesn't want to pull up hills and missfires,
clear codes and it's fine again for more miles,
(All with egr unplugged)

Am I ok to blank egr valves between valve and Head?

Thanks

If you are running with out it and having to stop clear codes then I would suggest no, unless you reprogram the ECU (don’t know if you can???) Have you taken off and cleaned all the EGR pipes and Valve?

also try cleaning the MAF with some carb/brake cleaner?

Light on dash doesn't bother me, so blanking it should work?

Swapped it for another old egr valve I had but same so guessing there both sagged, also tried cleaning one and no good, tried maf sensor , not new just tried cleaning and what not

Im not sure about the blanking??? But if you are going to clean the pipes then give it a go you will have to make up some blanks for the pipes. And find some way of keeping the EGR open

as for the pipes there is one that will come from the exhaust, im not sure but on other petrol motors there are metal pipes coming from the cylinders feeding in to the main one (old fords) take them all off and get all the crud out

I will try blank it, if fails I will just get new egr valve I guess, I would think if I blank it I would k ow straight away if it's worse right?

Ok blanked it today and no good.

It's misfiring on number 1 and cos it's 3 cylinder it's very bad.

Codes on ecu are misfire and egr,

Would egr valve cause missfire?
