Hello, i own a mk3 cupra (156bhp) running around 210bhp, minimal mods - dv,induction kit, forge front intercooler and revo remap. ive been offered a ko4 turbo + bam injectors, mainfold, downpipe, lines, s3 charge pipe. will the engine handle it or will i need to upgrade any other parts i internally ie pistons - conrods? If so how much r these gona set me back and what would u recommend. Any advice will b appreciated, as my friend said he finke the engine would blow if i put a ko4 on it...

well your engine will handle a k04 fine with adequate mapping you should see 260-270 but would limit torque to about 270-280ft/lbs mark so limitting boost to around 1.2-1.3 mark as , ibiza engines run slightly higher comp ratio than , s3/lcr's . they week point on these engines are rods which these days can be done rather cheaply consider you just have to no the right people
 
Thanks 4 the reply, so this is a def must if im 2 get a ko4, im not clued up on this 2 b frank, any suggestions on wat rods to choose, or wear to get them from?
 
well these engines are rated by most tuners to be good for 300bhp and 300 ft/lbs but many have gone further and some have snap rods with 270 ft/lbs all a lottery , ie do rods in states ,
