A mate of mine called me at the weekend and told me he has done a deal to trade in his MK2 Fabia vRS for a 60 plate Leon Cupra TSi 211. It's only just occured to me that this can't be right? Did a Google there and found the review for the Cupra TSi and it says the Cupra has 237bhp. Are Arnold Clark talking rubbish? It said that in the newspaper ad for that car as well, 211bhp.

I thought as much. Strange one. I guess I'll find out when he gets his car. It was quite late when I spoke to him the other night, so it didn't click when he said what the power was. That's Arnold Clark for you!

TSI is the new way of telling the latest generation engines , TFSI has been dropped and replaced by TSI , but the TFSI still exisits in the cupra.

All the other TSI engines are the new updated engines from the VW stable , same as found in the new MK6 golfs ect.

So even though it may be an FR it is actually a 211 TSI engine.

I have experience of Arnold Clark. One of the worst car retailers in Britain.
Don't know 1st F***ing thing they are talking about.
I would never buy a car from them, worst cowboys of the lot!

TSI 211PS Engine is in the Exeo

The Exeo get's the EA888 version with full Audi valvelift and has 350Nm torque instead of 280Nm as well as better Co2/mpg no idea why Octavia, Golf GTi and Leon FR don't have it FL TT does

perhaps they chose that engine for the larger platform cars... is the Exeo is based on the old A4 platform isnt it ?

the leon, golf and octavia always shared the same platform so that sort of makes sense... although still a bit backwards, if its available, why not use it !?
