having black wheels gold spcers look a bit silly unless i painted my calipers gold which might look good but i dont want to chance looking like a chav especially when my brakes are as small as there are.

So was wondering could i paint my spacers black? maybe just the edge? high temp paint? would they need lacquering?

I sprayed mine
Word of advice, cover the two large flat surfaces where the bolts go through and spray around the outside.
Otherwise the paint will crush into your wheels when you put them back on.
I sprayed mine silver, however I'm murdering the Leon so its going to be Black.

Remember to clean them fully, Sand down the surface and just spray :)
Three or Four coats of metal paint and then try in your boiler room or the like for a day or two.

cheers bud. well as my last ones didn't fit right and i don't know why they will be brand new ones that i will get so i shouldn't need to clean them should i?

Yea clean them sand them then wipe down with water dry then spray ;)

You shouldn't no,
Wear gloves so you dont leave fingerprints and oily bits other than that
you should be good :)

I did my first spray without sanding was a spoiler and was flaking like a leper in 3 days ;)

hahaha like a "flaking like a leper" - Im stealing that quote for future use! haha

Ok i will give it a wee sand.

cheers boys, better get some money in to get me sum spacers now. lol

im just goin g to paint mine satin black, the outside ring thats only visabil when the wheels on if you know what i mean, no need to do the front and back

y not set off a new trend nd change ya calapers to match? mite look daft but you wont know till ya try

Zboyd can tell you a good tale as to why you shouldnt paint the mating surfaces of wheels, and spacers would fall into the same category.
Painting the visible edge should not be a problem.

I'm dont think he will mind me telling as it will make other members aware.
Basically he put standard wheels back on for a trackday which unbeknown had the mating flanges painted. The heat from all the heavy braking transferred thru the hub to the wheel and the melted / cooled paint virtually welded them to the hub.
To say getting them off was difficult may be an understatement.
