Leon is 2007.
I have bought android4 2din navi stereo with canbus adapter to replace standard radio.
It's a great unit, quality is top notch.

Unit buttons light up when I tur on the lights, unit starts when I turn on the key and turns off when I pull out the key. That's ok.

It all works except some canbus functions (climatronic display, opened door status, etc)
And when I turn off the car (leaving the key in), unit plays for 10 minutes and then I hear some relay going on and off inside the dash every 20 seconds :) And I get climatronic info on headunit display when this relay clicks.

I hear there is an initialization procedure when connecting aftermarket stereo with canbus adapter.
(close all doors, first plug in canbus adapter harness in the cars wires and turno contact on for 60seconds, then turn contact off, plug canbus to stereo and then install it)

I must say I did absolutely opposite - didn't know about this (installing with opened car doors, plugging the canbus adapter in stereo first and installing the headunit in the socket...)

Is this why I get that problem?

Hi,

From what I remember the 2007 model year does not have the ability to display climate control features on the head unit. I believe its 2009 onward that has that function. You can however buy a connect2 adaptor that uses the reverse cam input to display climate control, parking sensor if factory fitted, etc.

I believe that canbus is only for OEM units, not for aftermarket like this one. It has a similar canbus adapter and can only work with this one.
