So i'm getting fed up of buying 'error free' canbus LED's and the bulb warning light coming on and I was wondering:

Is it possible to change the values in the ecu that it looks for to account for new LED's.

Or perhaps turn off certain light checking, allowing LED's to work without warning.

Or just turn the bulb warning off completely.

You cannot permanently disable the bulb checking system with VCDS at all. If only it were that easy. You can disable the check done when cold, and you can also alter the voltage supplied to certain bulbs which can help, but the light always ends up back on as the resistors built in to the bulbs fail over time.

On a sidenote, I have the bulbs linked above as I too was fed up of buying bulbs all the time. Much whiter light than a normal 501 bulb whilst retaining decent light output. Some cheap 'blue' coated bulbs offer a lovely colour but let virtually no light through so you can barely see that the bulb is on.
