Just thinking - if the aura head unit can take a 6 disk changer, we must be able to connect an mp3 player via this 'aux' i/p???

Anybody have any idea if there is a suitable adaptor/cable?

take a look in halfords they are selling an ipod connection system that takes the feed from the cd changer. £99 with fitting included.

I just bought a new Alpine head unit with the IPod connection that allows control of the IPod through the head unit buttons, saves me crashing when trying to find a song with the click wheel;)

Had a look on ebay and their own site - look good.

Am I right in saying they go in place of the CD changer and you don't need to have a changer there as a host?

only had a quick look.....

Also interested in anything else that will simply plug into the original head unit that plays mp3's and I like the idea of a hard drive.

the unit itself is actually the same size as a cd changer troble is the original brackets from the cd changer dont fit ,so i had to mod them which only requires drilling two holes in each bracket .

takes 20mins tops to fit.

will post some pics up later

Look forward to them - much appreciated as this is exactly what I am looking for

Seen it on the audi uk site for 600 quid!!

Briliant, cheers.

Bought one last night with a set of VW brackets (same part no. almost as Seat website) for $255 - you were right P&P was taking the p!ss at $68, but all in all still works out at least 50 quid cheaper than any over here - just waiting for the customs charges now.

I am guessing that all I need to buy now is the autochanger cable that comes in a around 21 quid from the dealer?
