central locking

just wondering
i had a new key made for my leon (coz i only had one andthe remote was broke) now it only flashes when i unlock the car not when i lock it does this mean that its not working properly

well when i lockmy doors!the hazard jus flash and small led led in the door start flashes! thats all

right ok i have been out and had a look when i unlock the car the hazards flash twice.
when i lock the car with one press the red led flashes but the hazards dont
when i lock the car with two presses the led dosn't flash and neither does the hazards
is my alarm working or isn't it?

thats odd! the hazard have to flash to confirm if lokced or unlocked!
Try this if this work! Disconnect the bettery for 15mins and reconnect! it should reset the ecu and alarm settings!

(note ensure you wait 1mins when you just about to turn the ignition , - allow time for the trottle body to align)

Check all doors/windows/sun roof/boot/bonnet are closed! they try again!
when a car normal locks up it checks to ensure the doors are closed!
Is the interior light swicth set to right postion?

all still the same everything locks but it just doesnt flash when locking

Have you done a diangostic for it? do a full scan! this scan all the modules

think i have sussed it the boot wont lock full stop. is there a way of locking it without he central locking. I have tried to use the key but just looks like it will only unlock not lock

yes mine wasnt syncronised with the central locking, u will have to play with it, lock the boot with the key then lock with the remote, then unlock keep tryong different variations until theey both lock and unlock,

no hazards flashing means you have a door open,

theres no door open as the interior lights not on
taken the trim off the boot cant lock it with a key the bar is stuck up got to dark to play with so have another go tomorrow with some wd40 and try to loosen it up otherwise its a e-bay job i think

ok had a go, fixed the boot lock, still no flashing lights.
have noticed that the pin on drivers door doesn't go down but doors still lock.
now the boot has stuck unlocked again
think a new motor for the boot lock is needed
