Hi,

Approx how long will it take a trained mechanic to change my Exhaust Manifold?

Surely, it is a case of removing bolts, removing manifold, replace gaskets, put new manifold on & tighten bolts?

I was guessing 30 min to 1 hour?

haha. genius!

Have you actually taken a look at your exhaust manifold? Can you even see it down there?

Bit more work than that involved mate. I'm fairly sure the turbo covers some of teh bolts, so has to come off to get the mani off. Also, with the engine tilted backwards as it is, it makes access very tricky indeed!

I'd say more like a couple of hours or more. Depending if any of the bolts are stuck between the manifold and the Turbo. Having the car on ramps would be a help and do the work from underneath.

Hi,

No, ain't taken a propa look, thus why I'm asking.

I simply wanted an approx time so I know roughly what the garage will charge me...

Hi,

I've got the manifold, but do I need to supply the garage with anything else?

Do they need specific gaskets, or will they have those?
