Hey, I was just wondering if someone could help me work out which seats would actually fit it my car as the stock ones seem to be terrible for long drives. The car is a 5 door and I have been told that the cupra seats would be slightly wrong due to them being 3 door, any alternatives.
Thanks

As the 6J Ibiza shares its platform with the 6r / 6c VW Polo and mk1 Audi A1, then there’s a good chance they all share the same seat rails. If so, then it ought to be possible to swap the seats between 5 door models of Ibiza, Polo and A1 without the need for any modifications. At the link below there‘s a Polo over on uk-polos.net forum where the owner has fitted Audi A1 seats.

Things to consider / bear in mind;
  • electrical connectors and wiring for seat side airbags might be different, as might seat heating if your seats and any replacement seats has this.
  • fitting different seats to the factory originals is a modification for insurance purposes, so you’d need to inform your insurance company who may increase your premium.
  • the A1 rear seats at the link above will only accommodate two passengers, so that could be an issue if you ever need to carry three passengers on the rear seat.

Hi.
If you have any issues with insurance at all for a change of seats then please feel free to drop me a line.
Regards,
Dan.

I have had issues with electrical connectors being different due to it being a bit of an odd model so I shall take note of that, thank you for the help.
