Yes you will need a spring compressor, its easy enough, undoing the top strut is the hardest bit, soak all the nuts in WD40 and you should be alright, buy new bolts to replace the wishbone ones, they are cheap so no excuses there, then when done go and get the wheels realigned.
This is for the Wishbones on a Mk4 golf, the process should be much the same.
Gonna give this a go myself tomorrow maybe, how hard are the wishbones Phill, did you need a vice to fit the new bushes, i have powerflex ones going in BTW.
I am looking to replace my bottom arms as the rear bush is completely shot on the NSF. I see many bottom arms on popular auction sites and also at ecp and gsf.
Can anyone vouch for the fitment of these pattern parts. I've had issues with some non genuine components needing quite a bit of fettling to get them to fit.
