Chattery vibration in reverse, dying DMF??

Noticed recently after driving whenever i engage reverse and start to bring the clutch up i get a clunky vibration and noise
Seems to be eminating from in front of gear stick but just inside engine bay
This only happens when reversing not in forward gears
Techie had look the other day but it didnt do it (surprisingly) when it normally does
He did say something touching engine as it moves slightly backwards but im not so sure
Cars only done 45k so i wouldn't expect engine mounts, would breaking up flywheel do this? and only in reverse?
Anybody else any ideas?

Couldn't be the clutch / release bearing?

After some interweb browsing i have picked up on other things too
Recently car runs roughly on even smooth roads, but i have put this down to quite worn front tyres and being lazy not checking pressures
If it is dying i may speak to mr wavetrac

when my engine mount went i had clunking when reversing if that helps, i would just double check the engine mounts, has it been remaped?

Still OE map so no high torque going through it
Might get a full set of upgraded engine mounts as soon as and hope it cures it
I rebushed dog bone in poly 3 years ago so probably due a change
