Don't you have to have later versions of vag-com for can bus... - which need rosstech leads?

But obviously I can't recommend you buying a knocked off copy of a copyrighted Rosstech product.

a lead is a lead either it works or it dont i would like to program a few things and then i won`t need it any more hence i need a (cheap lead)

Regarding me selling you a lead/cable NO i dont sell them i would advise people to go to the manufacturer for cables like this.

Yes i can now understand why you only want a cheap lead for one of two jobs, if you were nearer me you could have borrowed mine

with a genuine cable you get a s/w license and a high level of tech support. with a non genuine one you get nothing but a cheap solution.

its swings and roundabouts. pay more for peace of mind or get a cheap one its no big deal if it doesnt work.

i will only need the software to code a new navigation unit , so i will only be using it once.

hence cheap means cheap as possible

Well, make sure you get a unit that will support full software. You cannot recode a Nav unit in shareware.
