Just removed one of the kids car seat and found what appears to me a myriad of new life forms living underneath - no doubt the result of the collateral damage that occurs to foodstuffs when eaten by kids. A quick blast of Vanish and a scrub with a wet cloth has removed most of the offending mess but the material still has a stain that looks like the nippers have slaughtered a small animal in the back of the car. Anyone have good suggestions on how best to remove such a well entrenched stain?

That doesn't sound good, I am still tackling the mold under my car mat in the back seat, it will not go away!

I would have tried some Autoglym interior shampoo on it, I have used that before on my last car took me a few goes with it and some scrubbing with a microfibre towel.

may sound dull but...coke? fizz it up and let it soak in? (as long as its dark coloured carpet) should help remove it
