Apologies is advance if this has been asked before. Im currently upgrading my pre f/l climate control to f/l climate control unit, and heard somewhere to get it remember the temperature you set when switched off a couple of pins need switched. Anyone know which pins need switched or have a link to a guide for it? TIA

Hi buddy if you look on the guide in the link below and then click on the guys readers ride thread in the second comment it shows you what ones to change.

I've done the swap in mine this week and haven't bothered to change the wires over as its so fast to change temp on the fl version I didn't see the point.

Plus I've heard once you do it you can't revert back for some reason. So keep that in mind as if you wanted to change back to pfl if you were selling for example it wouldn't work.

Don't quote me on that though as it could be wrong.

No problem mate you are welcome :)

There are for screws holding the pfl control unit in!

Two are obvious when you have removed the radio but the other two are underneath the climate panel if you look you will see them. They are all T20 torx screws.

When you replace it with the fl one you only use the two obvious screws it doesn't have the two hidden ones.

The three wiring connectors on the climate unit have a little red tab you need to pull back before you can squeeze the release tab down so keep that in mind when you do it.

The big block is obvious where it goes on the climate control but the other two look identical. The black one goes in position B and the brown one goes into C

Pop them in then remember to push the red tabs back in buddy.
