CLIMATE Fan Speed

my climate remembers all settings (temp, vents etc) but every time I start the car the fan speed seems to be on 5 bars which is far higher that I want and I have to go and turn it down.

should it save and remember this?

Anyone else find the same and is there a way to fix it?

I've done some more investigation.

It remembers if set to AUTO
It remembers if set to 2 bars or more
It does not remember if set to 1 bar - and will be at 4 bars on the next start.
Looks like a software 'bug' to me and have reported it to Cupra Customer Care via the Cupra App.

They probably reckon you should have it on auto and two bar above . Feels like a bug. Auto is always how you should have AC year round to keep the AC in peak condition. That's old motoring guidance. Google will tell you more. Question is whether 2 bar or more is sufficient. The Ateca varies speed to the work it needs to do. Pass on Born, sure there is not an auto on the fan speed. Altea I seem to recall is the same. Moves the air flow between regions, speed and all automatic. So speed on auto as well. If that is helpful. I know the dealer during AC service messes it up so I have to unpick what they have done as hot air gushes out.

Apart from initial clearing windscreen when it's misted up I typically have the fan (in all my cars) on the lowest couple of speeds only, I prefer just a small amount of air movement.
For now I'm leaving the Born on fan speed 2 as that gets remembered.
Yeah pretty sure it's a software bug - reported via the Cupra App but they basically came back with check for any updates, and consult with your local CUPRA dealer.
Delaler aware and confirmed other Borns they have are behaving the same so it's not a specific issue with my car. Hopefully they have a mechanism to push it back to CUPRA and maybe it will get fixed in the future.

I get dry eye so point assorted ones so they dont hit the face. Least you got down to the bottom of it.
