has anyone removed the clocks from there leon and if so
does the car still run without them ? is the immobiliser in the clocks ??

the reason i ask is im planning on doing a car audio install in the car
with the clocks removed and something like a tablet used for speedo and rpm

Wish I had read this before trying to fit my tacho car didnt start after taking clocks out so couldn't find a wire to splice into :(

Ahh okay and no, not me!
I was only gonna do this temp whilst changing clocks until I can get my SKC, but sounds better to wait!

i have heard people fit the clocks under a seat just extend the wiring loom that way car still has an immobilisor, unless you plan on fitting and decent aftermarket system, as for the display your going to use the app torque will do everything you need

Lee does this make any sense to you I just looked into it again and it says go on block 32 and if it's negative then there could be a leak somewere?

So, just double checking here... say i wanted to remove my clocks and replace the same clocks back in a day or so (changing the dash LED colours) would i have any issues? I'm guessing disconnecting the battery too?
