Diesel is an oil. partially burnt diesel will be blue ish. Partially burnt diesel is perfectly normal on a cold start.

Diesel is an oil. partially burnt diesel will be blue ish. Partially burnt diesel is perfectly normal on a cold start.
Just a quick update, smoke/steam has stopped now. Only thing we had done is over fill the water and day later it was fine?? 
Another problem that developed before was a misfire when putting foot down, however replacing the fuel filter seems to have sorted this. After that we took the car for a test drive all the way up the mountain without entering limp mode once, but excitement was short lived as it went into limp mode when booting it HARD.
When we were coming back, it sounded like the turbo was whistling quite loud, havent heard this before, could it be a tell tale sign?
Have checked all over for boost leaks in vacuum pipes etc so next thing is to replace the n75 valve and see how it goes.
