Clutch not working pedal no resistance

Help me please.
I have just finished working on my Ibiza 1.2 2003.
I changed out the driveshaft.
To get to it from above I pulled out the line going to the slave cylinder and it leaked a bit
Sorted that out but the clutch pedal has zero resistance. The moment I push it it goes to the floor and doesn't come back until I grab it and pull it back. The gears won't change when the car is on. Only reverse gear will engage.
Brake fluid is under the minimum but still plenty visible in the reservoir so I doubt that is the issue but correct me if I'm wrong.
Also while changing out the driveshaft I put it in reverse gear so that it wouldn't keep turning and accodentally started the car while still in reverse so maybe that messed up something?

Any ideas.

You need to bleed the clutch, the clutch uses the same fluid as the break system, it is bled the same way as breaks, the bleed nipple is by the gear box on the underside of the car

Already gave that a go and the results confused me.
I opened it up and had someone pump the clutch a few time(by pump I mean grab and pull back and forth) and all that kept coming out was little spits of air and water which leads one to think that there's no fluid... But if that is the case wouldn't it just pull a little more from the reservoir? I know it's under minimum but it should still be able to grab some right?

Anyway thanks for the reply. My next task will be filling up and trying that again, but the car has been left away from home so can't really just go and do it any time.

Anything else I should try when I'm next at my car?

Assuming I read that properly, it sounds as though you pumped the clutch with the bleed screw open. If so, what you should be doing is pumping the clutch a few times with the bleed screw closed, then hold the pedal down and open the screw to release the fluid (and bubbles). Close the screw again, pull the pedal back up and repeat until no more bubbles emerge.

The reservoir should also be filled above minimum during bleeding.

Oh ok. Thanks. I'll try that in the next few days when I have time to go to where the car is left and buy some extra fluid. Not really too familiar with hydraulics. Will DOT4 or 5.1 work? From what I see on google it seems most are interchangeable except DOT5

I've always used DOT4 but yes, as far as I know 4 and 5.1 are interchangeable but not 5.
