coilover dilema help ?

ok found out my rear suspension on the s3 on on there last legs , which gives me a great excuse to get some new shiny coilovers or spring and dampers ?

my first dilema is which one to get my budget this time is £700-£750 ideally i would like adjustable dampening also and for my budget

ap's with adjustable dampening is £710
spax's which are £690
fk konig-sport are £685 (which i'm told uses koni damperes)

or none ajustable are

weitec's (which i think were slightly too soft on my leon) £620
kw v1 £720 (which i'm told by the dealer is very similar ride to weitec)
ap's £440
v maxx £420

or to get srings and dampers ? don't really mind ride height so much main concern is the dampening

i will always avoid FK's as long as i live as the shocks on my leon were all pissing oil after 2 years :/

taught the same , but i'm told these ones aren't built like the budget ones that cost 170-220 apparently and have 3 year warranty , ideally weitec's would match the colour of the car but i think weitecs are set up slightly too soft for my liking , if i had the money i would get konis cause don't no how they managed it but the ride was better some how than weitecs and firmer don't no how its possible but it was but there like £1100

yeah thats just my personal view... was burnt once with FK's... same as il never buy jamex coilovers again after mine are doing my head in and rusting after a year!

have a word with Damian @ DPM on here mate... he seems pretty clued up on coilovers... and what i like is he gives you his personal view rather than trying to sell you something

For the S3 8L I'd say either the KW springs and shocks or the Bilstein B8 dampers with the Eibach Pro springs.

how low is kw springs ? and would you say th kw shocks are much stiffer than weitec coilovers shocks if that make sense ?

Aps are awesome you don't need adjustable ones unless you plan on changing the set up for every track you go on

ok just had some good news , from john ashley , he can ge me the spax in by wednesday for £530 with is dealer discount settled spax it will be , with adjustable dampen
