coilovers locking ring nut

bought some coilovers they came with 2 c spanners there fk ak i know there cheap but i got
them really cheap lol. Spoke to lad yesterday said he never got a c spanner for the locking nut.

Know i want to adjust them but locking nut wont budge with a hammer and screwdriver starting to bit in. So what else can i use?

same thing happened with my mates mk2 golf, bought some second hand coils without the c spanner) and fitted them but couldnt adjust them with a hammer and chisel, they were seized solid. how old are they? put on wd40 if you havent already.

Stillsins, a plumbers too, they have immense grip. I got mine off with them but with them being alloy they can split if you attack them with a hammer and chisel.

Heat.. warm them up a bit with a (small) blowtorch.. they'll move then. but DONT try to undo by hand when you have heated them!! use large plumbers stillsons.

Or in my case, cut them off!

Then go into work and make new seats and locking nuts out of stainless steel!

Mine didnt move with stilsons, heat or hammer and chisel!

Mine are hisports too
