Has any of us in the UK had a confirmed delivery date yet on their Cupras..

We havent, though dealer is chasing today, all he's got at present is confirmation from Seat that the order has been accepted. He isnt even gettin his demonstrator in for another 3 to 4 weeks..

I think its pretty good reckoning all the factory orders that are in before March 1st, are looking at a build around week 13 at the moment, certainly seems that way anyway. :)

Are you talking generally here or specific to cupra orders?

Ordered a sunroof and xenon's, they said "well he has ordered a few options" the dealer who I must say has been great, argued with them over the democratic free choice i thought we all had!

I think we are near an outcome, needless to say, i will be getting an even better deal, and i wont be without a car!

It would seem that if you order a basic car, or one with bare minimum options than you can have a car almost straight away.

I think the factory has seriously underestimated the popularity of the Leon, and timed the Cupra Launch at the wrong time, and subsequently cannot get the FR's ordered and build UK dealer Cupra's (demo's) out at the same time.

I had a suspicion of this, but heard something in one of my many calls this week.

SB (still in bat against Seat(Spain)) :weedy: :stick:

My factory build FR - ordered 28th December, is currently at build week 12, went from 5 to 7 to 12!

Still in negotiations with Seat UK about whether or not i accept build week 12!

Got to be honest, 12 weeks is about right for a factory order, you may get lcuky and it be 10 weeks, but it will certainly be a wait.

Hope you have another car you can use!

The point I think that needs to be made, is that the dealer only has the info that he can gain from the Web based database that he orders the car on, if that says build week 5, then that is what you hear, until the factory become involved, and change the goalposts.

At this point (build acceptance it used to be called) it means the car is actually factored into the program for the production line to ensure maximum output.

Still not good whichever way you dress it up!

I asked my dealer a few days ago to check the status of my order (deposit paid 11th January) and as of yesterday he is still waiting to hear back from Rhys in Seat distribution.

He apparently has only just found that he has only been allocated 4 Cupra's for the year. I can tell he is pretty pi55ed off giving me the discount now.......
