right, ive just had coilovers fitted and the antiroll bar is now rubbing the driveshaft, i didnt think this could happen to the cupra r, so i went on venom motorsport website, which recommend shorter droplinks for the cupra r, ive just fitted one side, and it looks worse than what the longer droplink did, im baffled, its only lowered 40mm

i thought it was the cupras that had it where it hooked over the top,lcr suspensions supposed to be different, thats why i didnt think id have a problem

i cant work it out, i understand putting shorter droplinks on the lc, will push the bar away, but putting shorter droplinks on mine is bringing it closer?

Whats possibly happened is the front arb could be the wrong one for the car

You may have a non cupra r front arb mounted upside down :O

This is a standard cupra r front arb with kw coils!
No issues whatsoever

And then to compare a standard non r over driveshaft arb

thanks for the pics, its definately not a cupra roll bar,as it doesnt curl over anywhere at the end, ive just now find out that the bottom balljoint bolt has been sheered off and the other bolts where loose!!!! This should explain the jerking of the wheel as the hub was moving with the loose balljoint.

Also, are those shorter drop links for the lcr i bought from venom motorsport useless? As it seems, they pull the antiroll bar towards the driveshaft, not away, i tightened up the ball joint, and the driveshaft still rubbed, so i put the standard longer droplinks back on,abd everythings fine

Yes those shorter links are a waste of time

Maybe usefull for a fabia / ibiza owner but no good on a lcr! Venom are useless imo

ive emailed venom motorsport,as they clearly say cupra r, 99-05, they cost me £48

Basically shorter drop links would be ideal for a ''over the top loop'' ARB, which is what they presumed you had i assume. Since yours goes underneath, i would say you need longer links.

send a message or give Damian at DPM a shout, the guy knows his **** and will make sure you get the right stuff you need.

its pushed as far as the lug will go, it lines up with the main bolt
if you ar not sure i think you shoul go look.

you can see it like on the picture with a flashlight if you turn your wheels all the way. it should be all the way to the bottom inside the wheel hub.
