I used to track the car on the standard pads and discs and found them to work well. Are you having problems? I would recommend repalcing with OEM parts as I thought they were upto standard. Maybe change the brake fluid?

Hi Dan, My brakes all of a sudden do not seem to bite as well as they used too.
They are ok after a couple of presses.

Have noticed that if I have driven a few miles in the wet they are not very good at all on the first press.

I had them checked out and was told that there is lots of meat on the pads and the discs are fine also.

Just wondered if upgrading them would be benificial.

ok, I think that will really improve matters. I thought it was every two years myself?

You could always opt for uprated brake fluid if your planning on taking it on track or are really hard on the brakes.

Most fluid should be fine for your unless you reallt push the brakes.

Dot 5.1 is not nessecirily better than Dot 4, in fact the best racing fluids are Dot 4.

Im sure you will be find with the VW/Seat recommended stuff.
