coolant / antifreeze lcr

what anitfreeze / coolant should i use in my lcr the manual says g12+ but i cant find any at halfords. my local seat dealer isnt the closet. just wondered if anybody new which it was i cud use in there

You should only use G12+ which you can get from any vag dealer.

G12 is sold by audi vw seat and skoda if you have any near your location

I'll bet the air's nice and dense at -23 degrees - unfortunately grip would be negligible....

mines about 1cm above low so i can just add water n that will be fine.

As long as you know the strength of the coolant.
But its better to have the right amount over the correct strength.
But I would get the strength checked ASAP as its getting cold.

You can also use Comma XSTREAM red which is VAG approved and is suitable for system requiring G12. Avaliable form local motor suppliers etc.

Im sure GSF etc would sell G12.

im sure some of the halfords stuff is compliant. but if not clear then get G12

I'm sure people have used or bunged some in but why when the G12+ VAG
stuff is fairly cheap and can be bought from a number of places.

its just i had my timing belt done last week, and antifreeze was used , not sure it would do any harm , until i change for vag stuff etc

of course, G12 is antifreeze... just a particular type thats approved. So its not to say all antifreeze will be unsuitable, however as some are and as said G12 is cheap. if you can get it, use it.
