Coolant PIPES DIAMTERS PLEASE?!!!

Hi all,

I want to know the coolant pipe diameter of the two pipes that go to the expansion bottle.

Please help as car off the road until i can replace them.

Hmmmm,

No as i have a ibiza 2.0 16v ABF engine but its in a caddy pickup... So i am here fo all your expertice!

as i have standard coolant pipes but want to order reducers so i can put a pickup header tank in.

hope i can still have some help

now bear with me.....

if it was me, i'd measure the pipes on the engine that you already have.
i'd have a Caddy header tank because i want to put it in, and measure the pipes on that.

then look at the numbers i'd have & work it out from that

I know that is an option but i dont want to remove the bottom hose on the expansion as it full of coolant and coolant is really pricey nowa days. I thought someone on here may know. I have the caddy one thats not an issue just want the abf ones?

measure the circumference with a piece of string and then divide this by Pi π (P) = 3.14159

Circumference (C) + Pi (P) = Diameter (D)

SIMPLES!

the top one is 8mm i remember that much... also fits a 6mm on with pursuasian, but the lower one i cannot remember im affraid

If you dont have the other pipe by thursday ill measure it for you too

EDIT: Also Diameter = Circumference / Pi

8mm is the ID of the pipe that connects to the upper inlet of the expansion bottle
the other is around 15mm but ill have to check to be sure

Hi thanks for that the reason for asking is i want to use joiners between the two sizes so if you could get the sizes for me that would be great thanks!
