Anyone who lives in a flat or who cannot run power and water to where they park their car to use a pressure washer might be interested in this offer from Clas Ohlson: http://www.clasohlson.com/uk/Pr184407000/Pr184407000 these are sold by others with different branding but usually at well over £100.

Only picked my one up today, so I haven't had a chance to try it, but buyer reviews at chainreactioncycles.com for the same unit with different branding rate it 5 stars.

Tried it out this morning; it's got enough power to shift the crap on the sills and rear bumper from the tyres and clean the wheel arches. It won't shift brake dust without brushing, but then a mains powered pressure washer can struggle to shift that completely.

It will get through the water very quickly if you're trying to clean the car just with the jet of water. I intend to put the shampoo in with the water, wet the car down and go over it with a sponge as usual and then rinse with the washer.

Initial impressions are very good, it will take a lot less water to clean the car, so it's environmentally friendly but this also means fewer trips to the nearest tap lugging buckets!
