Hi all....ok here goes, i aint very good with cars so if you could keep your answers so that at dumb dumb like me can understand that would be great.....i have a p reg cordoba sx...coupe. when i try to start it it revs and then dies straight away, it will start eventually but is a pain. so straight away i thought imobiliser. anyway, i put it into gear, cranked it over so i started rolling forward, turned the ignition off then on again, lifted the clutch and it fired and started and run like a treat....so surly if it was an imobiliser problem it would still not start, like i said dont know a great lot about cars so if it is it is
Any help or suggestions would be great
Thanks

starting and dieing is an immobiliser symptom

Usually the reader coil that sits over the top of the ignition starts platying up now and then causing issues until eventually it won't go at all.

replaced 2 this week (polo/ibiza) same symptoms in the weeks before failure
