What car is it? If it's an FR with headlight washers (and hence the larger washer bottle) then you'll need to pretty much take the bumper off to get at the front left fog.
Please correct me if I'm wrong anybody as I was going to change mine but didn't fancy dismantling the front end!
The handbook does say H8.

The handbook also states, that for the FR:-

Due to the difficulty of accessing fog light bulbs, have them replaced at a Technical Service or specialised workshop.

The is an assumption of zero technical ability when writing the handbook.
Imagine dropping your car off at the dealer to have a fog light changed and getting a bill for about 3 hours labour!
It's a design flaw as far as I can see, it wouldn't be difficult to have the unit removable from the front. Maybe it is possible, I haven't tried.

They are defo H8 and I confirm i used super whites on my SE. They were easy to change and match well with the LEDs esp now that the cornering function is enabled.

They are indeed H8. I called into HIDs Direct today & bought a pair along with a Canbus reversing light. The chap behind the counter was very helpful indeed & fitted the reversing bulb for me. The front fogs will take me a little longer! He charged me a straight tenner for all three bulbs. Can't say fairer than that! Well recommended.
