So bought a "project" cupra, thinking wouldn't be too hard to get on the road. How wrong was I?!?!

Sorted out most of the main big issues, however, what I thought was just replacing the dogbone mount turns out they also snapped a bolt off in the subframe. Have tried drilling and easy out, but nothing is digging into it :( any suggestions?

Another problem is it needs suspension replacing as front springs have snapped. This shouldn't of been too hard......however the bolt through the strut and knuckle is solid, it wont budge at all. Tried impact gun, soaking it in wd40, breaker bar...nothing. dont want to snap it and running out of ideas

Have you taken the dog bone mount out off the subframe
I had the same issue as both off the bolts heads snapped off mine and the mount pulled out off the frame and I was able to warm them up and turn them out
As for the pinch bolt on the shocker you may just have to hit the area and the bolt with a hammer to try and brake the seal as your trying to turn it and if it won’t move or it snaps as it may do just drill it out but try not to damage the threads or I do feel your pain as this happened to me at work on Monday on a Volvo the pinch bolt snapped that held the ball joint in the hub so had to spend hours drilling out
Now if it’s a nut and bolt that holds the shocker to the hub and you have the nut off and the bolt is stuck in the hole and you have a air hammer or a air chisel use a punch end and use that to get it out watch out as when it does come out it will fly also try using boiling water around the area to just to warm stuff up as heat helps with stuff like this

Yeh the dogbone mount it off be the bolt that's snapped has nothing to grab and just wont drill out :(

Got coilovers to go on, just need the bolt out of the knuckle, was suggested to get a blow torch as the heat might ease it up. Regretting buying this now lol
