Best car phone holder ideas for mk1 Leon / mk2 Toledo?

As in the title, what are you all using as your preferred solution for a car phone holder?

I normally use one in my previous cars that has these little hooks that would hook over the back of the slats on an air vent and then hold the phone fairly snugly from there. However, I tried to use this on my Toledo V5 and over a decent sized bump, the vent slats just pulled out and the phone holder and phone fell off.

The air vent slats on the mk1 Leon/Toledo seem too delicate for this type of holder, just wondering if anyone has a better solution?

Well, I never tried those hooks on the vents because it does fall off damaging the vents and possibly also the phone. So I go with a magnet. A strong large square one. Never falls off. And you can still use the cup holder and bring the phone closer to your sight / hand.
If you don't mind with the metal square glued on the phone case.
