It'll pick up a little quicker, but make sure you fit the air feed, up high in the wing, facing back towards the car.

As jonzy said, you can unplug the maf, and if it runs better then the maf is gone.

Mine's running abit erratic at the moment, i took the maf off on sunday, and gave it a clean with contact cleaner, and reset the fault code, and its flying again today.

Im gonna disonnect the battery and reset the TB, and see if this helps.

Ask ninja about the vagcom, as im sure he's local to you.

Unplug the maf, and drive the car. Itll complain but it should run better.

Follow the blue elbow from the airfilter, and theres a black section of tube about 4" long with a sensor in it. Unlpug the plug and go for a drive, should pull. Dont drive for too long like that though.

Its ok mate, i was new once, and still ask stupid questions now!

The maf is easy to unplug, and its just to the left of the airbox, you'll probably snap the clip when removing it, which isnt a problem as long as the connector stays on in the future.

The plug connects into a plastic section, about 2inches from the airfilter.

Im gonna check this tonight. Ill unplug the MAF when I get home & take it for a drive & see what it feels like. If its better with it unpluged then the MAF is screwed yeah?

Then you reckon £60 for a new one? & Wheres best for a new MAF?

tHANKS AGAIN FOR ALL THE INFO!;)

euro car parts do the exhange for around £60, i think the dealers are more expensive.

The maf unplugging isnt a definate answer, but its a good indication.
