I'm using the car less now due to being back in the "essential journeys only" situation, so we can't even go for a drive somewhere at the weekend for a change of scenery really.

Last week the Leon went to the local shop once, the other side of town to take something to a family member once, and a trip to Tesco once.

My only concern is it being a diesel and I don't really like doing solely short trips in it. At least in the summer we were going for drives over the weekend of maybe 70-80 miles round trips to the coast for a wander and then drive back again - but now we can't do that I don't really like taking it on too many short trips without a long one to let the DPF do its stuff etc.

Well, since restaurants and bars in Belgium have been closed for about 5 months already, and my summer holiday got cancelled last year, I've had the time to finally start following up on some minor issues, a decent brake service, switching some bulbs to LED, changing the intake,... So hardly driving, but modding away and spending my money on it haha :D

Car moves maybe twice a week, minimal miles, it was due to be changed but since I can’t really get a good look at a replacement it’s on hold, plus all the stories re the 1.5 engine and a dislike of the new screen have put me off the mk4.

My LCR does not move - I have been working from home since the beginning of last March. I used to go into the office twice a week and the odd site visit (South London/Essex/Suffolk and Norfolk) now dont even do that. I start it once a week idle it at various rev's until good and hot then turn it off and walk away.
Last March mileage was on about 119k ....it still is.

No change for me at all. I'm a key worker and have continued to attend work as normal, myself and the wife (ACT in a pharmacy) volunteer to deliver much needed prescriptions. I cant work from home due to my position/appointment, but I am very grateful for being employed as my son and daughter were paid off in September . Average 200 miles a week.
