noticed yesterday when going over some speed bumps what appears to be the front drivers side makes a creaking noise, similar to a stiff car door which needs some wd40 putting onto it. sounds like this part as when the back end was going over the bump there was no problem, when going over less harsh speed bumps i don't get the problem so i am not certain exactly what may be the problem

when i had the car serviced a few months ago i was told i think it was one of the suspension bushes was starting to crack, but was ok at that stage and would pass an MOT but i can't remember the exact location or part which was affected

anyone have any ideas what it could be, or is it a case of taking it to a garage to get it checked out? i am not exactly mechanically experience either so not sure what i should be looking at.

Grease up the front anti roll bar rubbers where they are attached to the body just over the back of the front wishbones (NOT the ball joints behind the wheels). Lock the wheels over to get a better view of it at the back of the front wheelarch and behind the driveshafts.

A quick squidge of sillicone spray or red rubber grease on both sides of the car should fix it.

(Just done mine today for the same thing as it happens!)

This should help:-

Its the rusty bit on the curvy bar for want of a better expression
And by the way, the bush you have been advised on is probably the same one in the thread.

As above, but i'd also have a check for any play in drop links etc. Also, check that the inserts on th anti roll bar, where the bushes sit, aren't cracking and coming away from the car.
