did these have the smaller FR rear spoiler ? what are the differences in spec against the 280 other than the engine map ?

3dr only, 18" Wheels, smaller turbo, no rear spoiler as per Fr

Engine is to the last bolt and screw identical to the 280/290/Golf7R/S3.
Just the software is slightly different to detune it to the 265 hp however there are some who claim that the software is not different from the 280/290.

I had mine on the rollers. Same engine and turbo. Mine made 290bhp but runs 4psi less boost.

My mate also has one with a piggy back ecu. His makes 357bhp with 21PSi boost which is pretty much what a stock 290 runs so there must be some advanced timings or something.

Mine has the 18"s which look great in black, no cupra on the brake disks, no satnav on the head unit (I use Tomtom on my phone anyways) and no spoiler.

So if you can save yourself £4k plus I'd say go for it! I paid £16.5 for mine with 4k miles on the clock.

Same hardware, just little bit less toys like
18" tyres, no spoiler on the hatch...i would def. get 265 since its best bang for your buck.
