Does anyone here know if for the Mk3 Cupra, the later exhaust backbox (290, 300 etc) is compatible with the earlier 280? I have a 2014 280 and previously opted for a backbox delete. Initially I thought it was great but over time, the drone, while not that bad has become a bit tiresome, especially for the wife, as it is a family car that we share.
I could go back to the original 280 back box but as I hear the later exhaust, from pre-facelift 290 onwards. was already a sort of "sports exhaust", I think this might be a decent compromise...especially as it's still a stock item, so I presume wouldn't have any drone at all.
They do look different however, so before buying, just want to confirm they are compatible....I assume so as I doubt SEAT would have changed something like this in between model years.
