Hi Scott. The Autocar article was instigated by me! I spoke with John Evans about the battery 'campaign' woes and the article was the result. I was without my Born from 25th October last year until 27th Ferbruary this year. I had a Mercedes A200 'mild hybrid' hire car for the duration. Cupra customer services (after I emailed VW Group MD to complain) kept in touch and hopefully speeded the process up a little. They also agreed a 'good will' payment in the form of paying for an expensive front & rear dash cam system to be in stalled by my dealer (Dales, Summercourt, Cornwall - who were very supportive).
