CUPRA has now added UK pricing for the facelifted Formentor VZ5 to its website, with the five-cylinder range-topper listed from £64,495.



That is a significant moment for UK buyers, because this will be the first time the current-generation facelifted VZ5 has been made available in right-hand drive. While the wider facelifted Formentor range has already brought the updated styling and revised line-up to market, the VZ5 has remained the one many enthusiasts have been waiting for.



The big draw is the 2.5-litre five-cylinder turbo engine. It is what gives the VZ5 its own identity within the Formentor range and helps set it apart from the more mainstream petrol and plug-in hybrid models. In a line-up that has broadened considerably since the Formentor first arrived, the VZ5 still stands as the halo model and the one with the most sense of occasion...

Its nice but they really shaft you on the prices in the uk .....especially since covid , when you think of what the Chinese are selling in there country for around 40k its incredible and would put ours to shame, don't get me wrong its a great car but not a 70k one spec'd up imo.

186 MPH top end is a bit rediculous on UK roads when the thinking now is growing that 20 mph is plenty fast enough how about acceleration 0-60 mph in what is it something like 3 seconds or less!

Rs3 is about 3.4 and because of weight it will be slower id say....
