Hi guys, some expert help needed. Sometimes, whilst giving my Mk2 Cupra a bit of stick, it seems to go into "limp home mode" and will not rev over 4000rpm. When i give full throttle, it just goes to a certain rpm then dies, i assume this is "limp home mode". When i switch the car off and on again, it usually doesnt happen again but tonite it wouldnt go away. Any suggestions? My car is modified to 320bhp but this happened when the car was standard too. Please help :help:

It's possible that you're suffering from the dreaded fuel cut outs, caused by the fuel rail pump being unable to deliver enough fuel for the map that you're running, have you changed the diverter valve?, could have a punctured DV diapragm, have you got vag-com, if so try logging it...

If it happened when the car was standard you should never have got the car remapped in the first place. Id start by taking the map off (maybe your mapper will temp take it off for a small fee) and taking your car to the dealer to sort out since its still under warranty!

There is no engine cover on as i have a Neuspeed induction kit. Everything seems fine under there. Maybe overboosting?

Does the Neuspeed kit allow for the remote diverter valve? Is your valve working correctly, if its not connected then i would say that is the problem.

But you need someone to inspect it, ideally get someone with VAGCOM to run an fault test.

I had to modify the Neuspeed kit o allow for the remote diverter valve, ie cutting a hole and welding a piece on to it. Im gonna take it to the dealer next week and let them worry about it.
